About Kasia Galifi
For much of my life, migraines and digestive issues were something I simply learned to live with.
What began as a personal search for answers eventually led me to become a holistic migraine wellness coach, discovering the powerful connection between the nervous system and the gut.
Today, through Somaia Wellness, I help women understand this connection and support their bodies in rebuilding resilience from within.
MY STORY
When My Body Started Asking for Help
As far back as I can remember, headaches were part of my life. I was born with an eye injury during childbirth, something that may have influenced how my brain and nervous system developed from the very beginning.
I grew up in Eastern Europe, where academic expectations were high and school was demanding. During elementary school, I was often bullied for looking different, an experience that quietly shaped my confidence during those early years.
Even though I was generally a happy child, my body often felt unusually sensitive to the world around it. I now recognize that my nervous system was likely under more strain than I understood at the time.
Throughout my childhood, and later into adulthood, my digestion was never quite right. Constipation was something I dealt with regularly, and as the years passed, those digestive challenges gradually worsened.
Eventually there was a period when almost everything I ate seemed to cause bloating or discomfort. It felt as though my body was constantly struggling to find balance.
At the same time, my migraines became more frequent and more severe. What had once been occasional headaches slowly turned into something much more disruptive, eventually leading me to begin searching for answers.
What I Eventually Discovered
This search for answers led me to spend many hours learning about gut health, nervous system regulation, and holistic ways to support the body in finding balance again.
What slowly became clear was that migraines and digestive issues are often not isolated problems.
The nervous system and the gut are deeply connected.
When these systems become dysregulated, often after years of stress or physiological sensitivity — the body can begin expressing that imbalance through symptoms like migraines, digestive distress, fatigue, and chronic tension.
When I began supporting both systems together, my relationship with migraines slowly started to change.
